“EFFORT SETS ME APART.”
Drew Hansen, founder of Hansen & Homes, joined us and he brought the real.

A Taylor HS grad turned entrepreneur, Drew walked away from a stable job at Chrysler and a short-lived stint owning a Pizza King to chase something bigger. He started his construction business with money he had already saved—because he believes in living within your means, separating needs from wants, and only financing what matters (like a home!).

He’s done it all:
• Delivered a pizza by helicopter to a farmer on a combine.
• Sold security systems—but quit because he didn’t believe in the product.
• Remodeled his own restaurant and homes—before launching his own company.

Why?
Because you can’t sell what you don’t believe in.
And when you love what you do, it won’t feel like work.

His advice hit hard:
• Grit. Mindset. Ambition.
• Embrace the suck.
• Effort trumps everything.
• Go above and beyond.
• Take care of your customers and your employees.
• Hard work > talent.
• Always Be Learning.
• And YES—nutrition and fitness fuel performance.

Thank you, Drew, for reminding us that being different is your greatest asset.
