We took a field trip to DORIS Research in downtown Indy on Wednesday! Sam Julka, President and Co-owner, and Meghan Tooman, Vice President of Operations and Co-owner, shared how their diverse skills complement each other in the business world. As Tabitha Sabin, Operations Manager, put it, “Find people with different skill sets but that have a shared vision.”

Sam took us through her inspiring journey, saying she “had no business doing business,” but her determination and networking turned DORIS into what it is today. She emphasized, “Hiring people that are smarter than me was the best decision I’ve made.” Our group learned about the 8-step design thinking process and participated in a brainstorming session to generate ideas for our class business. Thanks to the DORIS team for such a valuable and inspiring experience!
